MOUNTOON

Help & contact

A real person reads every message, usually within two days: hello@mountoon.com

I paid but stories are still locked

Open the Parent tab, answer the grown-ups sum, and tap Restore purchases. This works for both the lifetime unlock and Mountoon Weekly. You need to be signed in to the App Store with the Apple Account that made the purchase, and online for a moment.

Someone else in my family bought it

Family Sharing applies to both the lifetime unlock and Mountoon Weekly. For the lifetime unlock, the family organiser needs Purchase Sharing switched on. For Mountoon Weekly, the person who subscribed needs Share with Family switched on in Settings ▸ their name ▸ Subscriptions. Then use Restore purchases on your device. New family members can take up to a day to see shared purchases.

It says “Waiting for approval”

Your family uses Ask to Buy. As soon as the organiser approves, every story unlocks by itself — there is no need to buy again. If the request was declined or has expired, simply choose an option again.

How do I cancel Mountoon Weekly?

On your iPhone or iPad open Settings ▸ your name ▸ Subscriptions, tap Mountoon Weekly, then Cancel Subscription. Every story stays open until the end of the week you have already paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel the plan.

What happens when Mountoon Weekly ends?

The two free stories, Lumi and Momo, stay free. The other four lock again. Nothing is deleted: your favourites, reading progress and settings stay on your device, and every story opens again if you come back.

Stories locked again while I was offline

This can happen with Mountoon Weekly. The plan renews through the App Store, so around each weekly renewal your device needs to be online for a moment; if the week ends while you are offline (a flight, a holiday), the four library stories lock until it reconnects. Go online once, open Mountoon, and they open again — if they don't, open the Parent tab and tap Restore purchases. Lumi and Momo never lock, and the lifetime unlock never needs a connection.

Switching from weekly to the lifetime unlock

Open the Parent tab, answer the grown-ups sum, tap Switch to lifetime and buy the lifetime unlock. Then cancel Mountoon Weekly in Settings ▸ your name ▸ Subscriptions so it does not renew. Buying the lifetime unlock does not cancel the weekly plan for you.

Refunds

All App Store refunds, for the lifetime unlock and for Mountoon Weekly, are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot see or change purchases.

There is no narration

That is on purpose: Mountoon is a picture book for you to read aloud. The quiet chimes follow your device's silent switch and can be turned off in the Parent tab, along with touch feedback.

My toddler keeps leaving the app

Try Guided Access: Settings ▸ Accessibility ▸ Guided Access, then triple-click the side button inside a story.

Which devices?

iPhone and iPad with iOS 17 or later. iPad shows a two-page spread in landscape. Stories work offline; a weekly plan checks in with the App Store when it renews.

Privacy

The app collects nothing. Details: privacy policy. When you write to us, please don't include photos or details of your child — we never need them.
